3. the characteristics of the coatings above

1. Nitro coating (NC):

Nitrification cellulose and organic solvent is the raw material, solvent volatiles to form the paint film, suitable for various kinds of production line.

•  

• Short drying time , suitable for mass production.
• Simple coating and easy to recoat and restoration.
• Low requirement for the coating environment.

Disadvantages:

• Low resistance of melting and scrapping.
• Thin coating film.

2. Polyester coating (PU):

Made up mainly by isocyanate prepolymer containing hydroxyl resin, usuallycalled Curing agent components and main agent components. Alkyd polyurethane and acrylic polyurethane is currently used in wood product.

•  

• High gloss, good chubbiness (soft feel)
• Better resistance to abrasion and scraping, better resistance to solvent  and chemicals superior performance.

Disadvantages:

• Long drying time and complicated processing.
• High requirement for the processing environment.

3. Ultraviolet light curable coating (UV):

Made up mainly by active resin, photoinitiator and active diluent. Remarkable characteristic is active liquid instead of volatile dissolvent, the high solid sclerosis coating polymerized by ultraviolet light irradiation resin from common coating. Thus considerably reduce volatile organic gas and shortening the drying time.

•  

• Short drying time.
• Low application cost.
• Tough coating, better resistance to abrasion and scraping, chemical resistance, good water and heat-resisting performance.

• High processing requirement for the environment, the light color is hard to be consistence due to different ultraviolet intensity.
• The poor performance for repairing.

4. Water Paint(WB):

WB is used as dissolvant instead of water ,combined with granules in the polymer ,will hang together into a film,so WB is a good kind of green environmental paints.

•  

• To reduce volatile organic compounds( VOC )and harmful gas pollution( HAP).
• To improve production environment and safty because of its feature of avirulence, odorlessness and nonflammability.
• To have good performace of surface including good lustre,yellowing resistance and friction resistance.
• Good and fast operation for painting with the stable effection.
  •  

• The definite requirement of the operation environment,better production and transporting equipment,and to cotrol the more precise temperature and humidity,meanwhile WB need prevent frostbite when it’s storaged.
• The poor melting resistance between NC and PU.

5. Wamu coatings (PE:commonly know as poly paint):

PE paint ,also called unsaturated Styrene Monomer ( SM ) including the main ingredients (coating film), accelerators and hardeners,after mixing these three componets sequentially,it will result in curing by polymerization,the resolvent inside the PE paint is styrene,which partakes the reaction when the paint become films .This paint belongs to three-liquid paints.

•  

• Due to its reacting feature showing the drying is from bottom to up ,it can’t exist the phenomena that the surface of paint will be dry but the undercoat not dry, suitable for thick coating.
• As the material paint, the Styrene Monomer (SM: diluent) possesses 100% of chemical reaction ability itself,liquid component can transform into all the solid polymer ,so it can meet 100% of coating film,even more it will get the thicker film for once.
• Less susceptible to environmental impact, not easy to bleach,high hardness of coating film, difficult to deboss , suitable for coating by high-glossed polishing.

• As this three-liquid paint, to mix these three liquids difficultly,the short time of use after mixing(in 10 minutes) ,so it’s incovenient to use this kind of paint.
• The hardness of paint is so high that it’difficult to polish.
• No mixing the accelerator and hardener together directly ,it will cause firing or blasting.
• The poor reparing performance of this kind of paint.
